Serengeti Safaris
Serengeti safaris can be built around Central Serengeti year-round, Ndutu in the calving months, Northern Serengeti during river season or the western corridor when migration movement shifts toward Grumeti.
Central Serengeti
Seronera is the year-round anchor for big cats and resident wildlife. It works in almost every itinerary and has the broadest accommodation range.
Seasonal Serengeti
Ndutu becomes important from December to March, western Serengeti often matters around May to July, and northern Serengeti is the headline migration region from roughly July through October.
Stay longer
The Serengeti is too large to treat as one stop. Two nights is a minimum for most first trips; three or four nights in one region is better for photographers and migration-focused travelers.
