When flying makes sense
Fly-in routing is most valuable for short luxury trips, northern Serengeti migration safaris and travelers who prefer to spend limited vacation days inside wildlife areas rather than on transfer roads.
Luggage
Small aircraft have stricter weight and bag-shape limits than international airlines. Photography equipment and hard-sided luggage need to be considered before flights are ticketed.
Ground arrangements
A flight does not replace guiding. The itinerary still needs an airstrip transfer and safari vehicle at the destination, either private or camp-based depending on the package.
